Please take a moment to assist in the relief effort taking place in Haiti. There are many organizations that could benefit from small monetary donations, in addition to food or other items like clothing, diapers, batteries, baby formula, and toiletries. They range from the American Red Cross to Wyclef Jean's Yéle Haiti. Please look through the following list for an organization that might be a good match for you. This is a very small list, and there are many other organizations out there. Donations can be made by mail, in person, online, or via text. (Oh, the wonders of modern technology!)
Housing Works: The NYC based organization has teamed up with Haitian AIDS organization Fondation Esther Boucicault-Stanislas (FEBS)

Plus, if you're in NYC and close to the Bronx, this Saturday, January 16th, a drop-off location will be set-up for the day accepting monetary donations, as well as non-perishable goods at NOON at the intersection of Aldus Street and Southern Boulevard. The event has been arranged by Bronx Borough President Ruben Ruiz, Jr., State Senator Reverend Ruben Ruiz and the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization.
